Jack Daniel’s Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, produces millions of gallons of whiskey and stores large volumes in multi-story barrel warehouses that present high fire risk due to flammable liquids and rapid fire spread. With industry incidents showing catastrophic property and environmental damage, the company needed reliable early-stage smoke detection beyond standard code-compliant measures to protect assets, workers, and surrounding communities.

Jack Daniel’s installed VESDA VLP Class 1, Division 2 air-sampling detectors—each covering up to 20,000 sq ft—rolling out more than 120 units by 2004 and over 240 by 2012.
