A Xtralis Case Study
Rurtalwerkstaetten, a regional employer that integrates disabled people into working life, operates a 9,000 m2 site in Niederzier, Germany that had suffered repeated break-ins, theft of stainless steel and gas bottles and even vehicle thefts. Although partly protected by buildings and hedges, exposed gates and fences made the metals and gas storage areas easy targets, prompting plant management to seek a robust perimeter security upgrade.
Installer ABN implemented a tailored solution combining HeiTel by Xtralis VideoGateways, ADPRO long-range PIR detectors and video-based motion detection linked to a central monitoring station (CMS). The system provides full perimeter coverage, rapid video verification and remote access control while drastically reducing false alarms; management reports greater confidence in preventing future thefts and expects the investment to pay for itself through avoided damage and faster interventions.
