A Xtralis Case Study
A privately owned construction and development group in the East Midlands that specialises in commercial and utility-scale solar PV needed reliable 24/7 security for an initial phase of 35 large, fenced ground‑mount solar farms spread across remote rural locations. The sites’ vast scale and isolation, coupled with harsh weather, wildlife, vegetation and livestock, made them particularly vulnerable to theft and vandalism and required a low‑maintenance, low‑false‑alarm perimeter solution.
Installer ISD‑Tech and the customer chose the Xtralis ADPRO Perimeter, Multi‑site and Enterprise solution using Pro 045 external PIR curtain sensors paired with static cameras, centralized DVR control and offsite monitoring. The system detects intruders at the perimeter, reduces nuisance alarms, includes anti‑vandal alignment detection and 4 m mounting, offers remote management and lowered installation/maintenance costs — delivering reliable multi‑site coverage, fewer false alarms and reduced long‑term security management expenses.
