Chennai City Traffic Police teamed with Xtralis to tackle chronic congestion and safety issues at eight of the city’s busiest intersections. With Chennai’s dense mix of cars, trucks and thousands of two‑wheelers, monitoring accidents, breakdowns and violations in real time had become nearly impossible for traffic teams working without comprehensive surveillance.
Adtech Power Systems installed an ADPRO solution—40 CCTV cameras plus ADPRO FastTrace, FastVu and VideoCentral—feeding a new control room at Egmore with live 2 Mbps links and speed‑dome cameras for plate capture. The modular system provides remote, centralized monitoring (even to the Commissioner’s laptop), enables dynamic rerouting for VIPs and incidents, and stores digital evidence. The result: smoother traffic flow, quicker incident response and a dramatic reduction in red‑light and other violations through reliable documentation and enforcement.
