Grundfos, a global leader in pump manufacturing and provider of water kiosks to remote communities, needed reliable, scalable IT alerting to protect its worldwide infrastructure. Their existing homegrown SMS system—linked to BMC ProactiveNet, SCOM and SAP Solution Manager—depended on a single developer, ran on an aging OS, had single points of failure and could not escalate alerts, so a quick, maintainable replacement with BMC integration was essential.

Grundfos chose xMatters for its out-of-the-box BMC integration and cloud-based Integration Platform, deploying SCOM-to-xMatters across 16 servers and going live in about two months. The result is centralized, easy-to-manage alerting with saved internal resources, fast incident response via the iOS app (including alert acknowledgment), and the flexibility to build additional integrations or expand into business continuity.
