Proximus, Belgium’s largest telecommunications provider, needed a way to manage thousands of applications and integrations more efficiently as it shifted to a more agile, API-first business model. To support faster delivery, better quality, and lower costs, Proximus adopted WSO2 API Manager and WSO2 Identity Server to help organize and secure its API lifecycle and identity/access management across internal and external services.
WSO2 enabled Proximus to implement a lightweight, self-service API platform with stronger governance, loose coupling, and clear separation across functional, security, application, and infrastructure domains. The result was a more agile API marketplace and digital product model that empowered teams, simplified release cycles, and helped Proximus focus on customer value while reducing cost and complexity.
