Pringles boosts brand awareness 38% with WPP

The customer Pringles faced the challenge of authentically inserting their brand into the gaming landscape to captivate hard-to-impress gamers and position themselves as the ultimate gaming snack. To address this, the vendor WPP, through its agency Grey, devised a creative solution.

WPP's solution was to create the world's first paid job in a video game, hiring a person to become a non-playable character (NPC) responsible for restocking Pringles in Train Sim. The campaign blended real-world and virtual initiatives, including strategic ads and a recruitment drive. This approach successfully generated 30.8 million impressions and increased Pringles' brand awareness by an impressive 38%.
