Case Study: TransPak achieves improved quality, retention, and safety with WorkStep

A WorkStep Case Study

Preview of the TransPak Case Study

Transition off temps yields improved quality, retention and safety

TransPak, a global leader in packaging and crating, relied heavily on temp staffing across more than 2 dozen locations and needed a better way to hire for roles like assemblers, sawyers, CDL drivers, and production supervisors. The company faced high turnover, inconsistent worker quality, and safety concerns, and turned to WorkStep to help regain control of its non-exempt workforce.

WorkStep partnered with TransPak to build role descriptions and hiring processes, while supplying a pipeline of qualified candidates from its network for direct-hire roles. The results included about 5 direct hires per month per facility at the outset, 85% retention on placements, and 100% of key non-exempt roles in supported facilities sourced primarily through WorkStep, improving both quality and safety.
