A WorkStep Case Study
Fortune 200 Retailer, a large U.S. retailer with more than 135,000 employees, needed a better way to consistently find qualified candidates for high-volume warehouse roles such as General Warehouse and Maintenance Mechanic. The company’s challenge was especially acute in more remote distribution locations, where recruiting workers who would grow with the company was difficult.
WorkStep partnered with the retailer on a pilot in a newly launched distribution hub, using its candidate flow and automated scheduling technology to streamline hiring. The results were strong: the retailer hired 40 WorkStep candidates in the first three months, saw a 93% retention rate on the first 40 hires, and reduced day-30 attrition by over 80% compared with other sources, while also cutting time from application to interview to an average of 3 days.
