DFS, the UK’s leading furniture retailer and Britain’s biggest sofa manufacturer, needed a better way to keep its largely non-desk-based workforce connected, informed, and engaged. The company turned to Workplace from Meta’s mobile-first communication platform to help employees collaborate across stores, production, supply chain, retail, and administration while also supporting employee wellbeing.

With Workplace from Meta, DFS created company-wide groups, pinned key benefits and health-and-safety updates, and launched wellbeing initiatives like the “Living Well” program and #HealthySelfie competition. The results included stronger cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing, 82% of employees saying Workplace lets them make a valuable contribution, over 320 contributions to the campaign, and DFS being named one of The Sunday Times’ 2018 Best Big Companies to Work For.
