immi, a fast-growing food brand selling plant-based Asian comfort dishes, needed to verify if Axon by AppLovin was an effective new ad channel. They suspected that Axon was driving sales across their Shopify store and Amazon, but their initial, click-based measurements showed the channel was only breaking even. They partnered with WorkMagic to get a full-funnel view and accurately measure its true impact.
WorkMagic implemented a solution using a 3-cell geo-based incrementality test to measure Axon's performance. The test revealed that Axon's impact had been significantly underestimated, showing an 11.31% incremental lift on Shopify and a 7.38% halo effect lift on Amazon. This data allowed immi to recalculate Axon's metrics, finding a 46% lower incremental cost per acquisition and a 36% better return on ad spend compared to other channels. With this validated proof from WorkMagic, immi scaled its investment, achieving a 4.2x increase in revenue driven by Axon.
