A WorkInConfidence Case Study
Betsi Cadwaladr University Hospital Board, the largest health organisation in Wales, needed a trusted way for its widespread workforce to speak up anonymously and engage in two-way conversations. Its previous solution did not fully meet staff needs, so it turned to WorkInConfidence and its Anonymous Speak Up platform, alongside surveys, polls and discussion boards, to support wider staff engagement and its Speak Out Safely Guardian programme.
WorkInConfidence implemented the platform in July 2021 and supported rollout across many facilities with mixed-media communications, co-design input and close partnership with trade unions and staff groups. The result was stronger adoption and a major increase in engagement: in the first six months, the board recorded more interactions on the platform than in the first two years on the previous solution, while staff gained a safe, anonymous way to raise concerns and be heard.
