Turien & Co., one of the largest independent insurers in the Netherlands, was dealing with a rapidly growing volume of mostly digital documents coming in by email and via a portal. To manage this complexity, the company worked with WoodWing Software and its Xtendis application to improve document handling, archiving, and processing across multiple insurers and back-office systems.

WoodWing Software implemented Xtendis to create a digital archive of more than 200 million documents, automate incoming mail and email recognition across 30+ document classes, and add workflow for document processing and outgoing document archiving. The result was faster retrieval in seconds, greater transparency into document status and processing times, continuous insight into document volumes, and significant cost savings, while also ensuring long-term digital preservation of outgoing files.
