A WoodWing Software Case Study
Mitsumura Publishing Company, a Japanese textbook publisher since 1949, faced a legacy workflow that overburdened editors with administrative and logistic tasks, made collaboration with external contributors difficult, and caused slow, error‑prone revisions. After evaluating options, the publisher selected WoodWing Software’s Enterprise publishing system to streamline operations and refocus editors on content creation.
WoodWing Software, with implementation support from Visual Processing Japan, integrated Enterprise with InDesign and InCopy so designers and editors can work simultaneously on a single master file. The solution now supports more than 100 users (including subcontractors), removed the two‑ to three‑day delay previously required for revisions, improved progress management via web browser access, and delivered significant time savings and stronger internal and external collaboration.
