Case Study: Porto Editora achieves faster book production and fewer proof rounds with WoodWing Software

A WoodWing Software Case Study

Preview of the Porto Editora Case Study

How Porto Editora booked time savings with WoodWing

Porto Editora, the largest publisher of textbooks and fiction in Portugal, faced a fragmented editorial production process—separate DAM and information-management systems forced authors, designers, photographers and proofreaders (about 10 people per book) into cumbersome handoffs and multiple review rounds. To enable multichannel output and a more open, Adobe-integrated workflow, Porto Editora turned to WoodWing Software and its content-production stack, including WoodWing’s DAM (Elvis) and Enterprise/Content Station tools.

Working with implementation partner PubliQare, WoodWing Software consolidated Porto Editora’s asset management and workflow into a single, integrated platform, giving over 100 internal and external staff a clear workflow overview and easier collaboration. The result: fewer proofs and feedback rounds, faster production with around 10 collaborators per textbook working more seamlessly, freed-up time to invest in content quality, and a consolidated DAM-plus-Enterprise system that readies the publisher for single-source print and digital output.
