How Dutch supermarket chain Hoogvliet reclaimed control of their marketing content and creative processes

Hoogvliet, a Dutch supermarket chain with 71 stores and 6,000 staff, faced slow, fragmented marketing production: multiple weekly catalogs and POS materials were produced via manual data entry, poor asset management, asynchronous approvals and fully outsourced design. Wanting to reclaim control of creative processes while still working with external agencies, Hoogvliet evaluated a digital solution and selected WoodWing Software (using WoodWing Assets and WoodWing Studio) to centralize content and streamline workflows.

Using WoodWing Software’s Assets and Studio—implemented by partner Graphit and integrated with EasyCatalog and Adobe InDesign—Hoogvliet created a master product/promotion data source, automated population of InDesign templates, single-source product imagery, and collaborative proofing. The WoodWing Software solution cut catalog production time by an estimated 40–50%, reduced outsourcing and agency costs, improved consistency between catalog and POS collateral, and returned creative control to Hoogvliet’s marketing team.
