World's leading Global Distribution System, serving airlines, travel agents, and airports, needed to improve the speed and accuracy of its fare filing process to keep fares and rules updated correctly and reduce revenue leakage. WNS supported the company with a lift-and-shift of fare filing into its India-based Center of Excellence, using its EnABLE transition methodology and a standardized fare filing service for 14 airlines initially.
WNS then refined the workflow, strengthened training and documentation, and expanded the knowledge repository to make the process more efficient and reliable. As a result, fare accuracy improved from 88% to 94% in 24 months, turnaround-time compliance rose from 90% to 99.5%, debit memo payouts fell, and filing volume increased by 157% over three years with only an 82% increase in resources. The success led the customer to extend WNS support to all 450+ airlines on its GDS platform.
