Zendesk, Wipster, and Litmus each faced different marketing challenges: Zendesk was losing control of the conversation as searches for “Zendesk alternative” grew; Wipster needed to show that its video-review platform made a tedious process simple and even fun; and Litmus, fresh off a $49M raise, had to attract the right hires by conveying workplace culture that text job ads couldn’t capture.

Each company used short, human video to solve the problem. Zendesk produced a tongue-in-cheek grunge-band film that humanized the brand and now ranks first for “Zendesk alternative.” Wipster put a playful 30-second demo with its CEO front-and-center to demonstrate product value and build trust. Litmus created a day-in-the-life montage of employees to communicate community and help candidates picture themselves there — all reinforcing familiarity and emotional connection with their audiences.
