Swissôtel Clark, a premium lifestyle hotel in the Clark Freeport Zone in the Philippines, partnered with Winnow in February 2023 to tackle the costly and environmentally damaging problem of food waste in its kitchens. The hotel needed a smarter way to identify what was being thrown away and why, while improving sustainability and operational efficiency.
Winnow implemented its AI-powered food waste tracking technology, using computer vision and reporting to help the team analyze waste patterns and make targeted changes. As a result, Swissôtel Clark reduced food waste by 67%, diverted 100 kg per week from landfill, and cut emissions by 16 tons of CO2e annually, equivalent to about 10,000 meals saved each year.
