Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre achieved 4% reduction in food purchasing cost by cutting food waste

Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre, a five-star hotel in Dubai, wanted to reduce food waste and support AccorHotels’ Planet 21 sustainability goals. The hotel used Winnow’s food waste measurement technology to better understand where waste was happening and how it was affecting costs.

Winnow helped the hotel make simple operational changes, such as shrinking breakfast bowls and forecasting guest numbers more accurately to control production. Within four weeks, Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre cut food purchasing costs by 4%, saved about $400 a week, and reduced an estimated 5.6 tons of food waste from landfill each year.
