How Sofitel Kunming cut food waste by half and saved more than 133,000 RMB

The luxury Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit hotel partnered with Winnow, implementing the Winnow system to measure and reduce food waste in its all-day dining restaurant as part of a broader pilot agreement with the Accor Group.

By using the Winnow system to track waste, the team gained tangible data to identify issues like overproduction. Through this data and engaged daily team meetings, Winnow helped Sofitel dramatically cut food waste by over 50%, leading to estimated savings of over 133,000 RMB and a reduction of 20 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
