A WebPT Case Study
Gilford Physical Therapy and Spine Center, founded in 2007 in Gilford, New Hampshire, is a small clinic that had grown to several clinicians and a busy front office staff. Before adopting WebPT, the practice struggled with paper charts, constant faxing and transcription, unreadable handwriting, a billing system that didn’t integrate with their clearinghouse, and a time-consuming A/R process that left claims open an average of 48 days and required six people to manage the front desk.
After switching to WebPT and its integrated Therabill billing, the clinic automated documentation and billing workflows, implemented eDocs and in-system faxing, and gained anytime/anywhere access. The results: front-desk staffing dropped from six to three, A/R fell by 38%, average days a claim is open fell to 26, and data from the system enabled a successful negotiation for a 20% higher reimbursement rate—improving efficiency, cash flow, and staff capacity for patient care and growth.
