Prosthetics & Orthotics Group, a multi-location provider of pediatric-to-senior prosthetics and orthotics, struggled with excessive staff time spent calling payers and logging into multiple portals, denials that took 15–30 days to resolve, inability to collect patient payments at point of service, nonexistent reporting, and siloed data across systems. The organization partnered with Waystar and deployed Waystar’s Eligibility, Claim Manager, Claim Monitoring and Denial & Appeal Management solutions to address these operational challenges.
Waystar automated eligibility checks and claim status inquiries, integrated claim monitoring and denial workflows into the practice management system (Nymbl), and centralized reporting and documentation. As a result, Prosthetics & Orthotics Group raised first-pass clean claims from 94% to 98%, began working denials the same day (up to 30 days faster than prior manual processes), achieved stronger performance monitoring across 14 locations, and significantly improved denial management and patient payment reconciliation.
