CPA Lab, a Louisville-based pathology lab founded in 1972, faced the ongoing challenge of maintaining high-quality, accurate claims and improving billing efficiency amid staffing and remote-work pressures and limited visibility into patient insurance. To address this, the lab partnered with Waystar, leveraging Waystar’s Claim Manager and Remit Manager (and its integration with TELCOR) to reduce manual touchpoints and keep claims clean and timely.
Waystar implemented its claim and remit management tools plus ongoing client success support to catch errors before submission and streamline workflows. As a result, CPA Lab achieved a 98% clean claim rate, a 98.16% payer acceptance rate (1.84% rejection), and an average days-to-pay of 14.42, while also reducing manual transaction time and improving staff productivity and retention.
