AnMed Health, a century-old not-for-profit health system serving upstate South Carolina and northeast Georgia, faced mounting revenue integrity challenges as it transitioned to a new Epic EHR and managed tens of thousands of claims per day amid industry cost pressures. To prevent revenue leakage and ensure fair reimbursement, AnMed Health partnered with Waystar and adopted Waystar solutions including DRG Anomaly Detection and Charge Integrity to strengthen charge capture and coding accuracy.

Waystar implemented purpose-built software, predictive analytics and automation to surface coding errors, missing charges and under-coded claims and to centralize revenue integrity workflows. As a result, AnMed Health collected $1.68M in additional payments (about $55.6K per month), rebilled and estimated $931K in additional revenue, and saw a 4:1 ROI from Waystar’s DRG Anomaly Detection—demonstrating measurable, bottom-line impact from the Waystar partnership.
