Austin Radiological Association, the largest diagnostic imaging provider in Austin, TX (17 outpatient centers and 115+ radiologists), needed to modernize an aging payments and claims environment that lacked visibility, relied on manual patient-payment processes, and had an eroding first-pass payment rate (~81%). Waystar implemented electronic claim scrubbing and payer connectivity, electronic remit processing and reconciliation, and a 24/7 patient payment portal. The changes drove measurable results: a 15% improvement in first-pass payments (to 97.73%), a 42% increase in revenue collection, a 123% boost in monthly payment plan collections, a 20% decrease in plan delinquencies, faster payouts, and shorter payment plan durations—demonstrating clear financial and patient-experience gains from Waystar’s solutions.
