Air Mauritius, the fourth largest carrier in Sub‑Saharan Africa, engaged Wavetec to address long, unpredictable queues and poor visibility into customer flow at its Port Louis Customer Care Office. Using Wavetec’s Electronic Queue Management Solution (EQMS), Air Mauritius sought to “say no to queues,” reduce staff idle time, support English and French communication, provide managers with automated bottleneck alerts, and gain access to transaction statistics to predict peak and off‑peak periods.
Wavetec deployed Smart TDU kiosks with dual printers, digital signage/Status Display Units, energy‑efficient Counter Display Units, Teller Station Units and a Real‑Time Reporting System to automate ticketing, queuing and reporting. As a result Wavetec’s solution delivered fairer, faster service with reduced transaction times and an increased number of transactions, enabled remote monitoring and automatic alerting of bottlenecks, improved staff utilization and customer experience, and provided management with actionable peak/off‑peak analytics and 24/7 technical support.
