Wavetec redefines Checkout Experience at FCB Megastore with UNO-Q and Donatello Digital Signage

FC Barcelona Megastore, the club’s 2,100 sq. m. retail destination, faced long queues and slow checkout times during heavy footfall—especially in peak season—across its three floors. The store engaged Wavetec to deliver a custom queue management and digital‑signage solution to optimize customer flow and reduce waiting times, specifying Wavetec’s UNO‑Q linear queuing system alongside Donatello digital signage.

Wavetec implemented UNO‑Q’s electronic call‑forwarding single‑line, multi‑counter system on the ground floor and basement, deployed Donatello Linea screens (running Donatello Suite) and integrated people‑counting cameras, PDUs and central displays, and provided staff training. The solution gave managers live dashboards with average service and waiting times and peak‑hour analytics, streamlined queueing into faster, fairer service, and left store management—particularly the Manager for Cash Zones—significantly more satisfied with checkout performance.
