Wavetec Provided Digital Transformation Solutions to the Karachi’s Green Line BRT System

Green Line BRT in Karachi needed an integrated intelligent transport system to improve passenger handling, coordination, and overall transit efficiency across its 30-km corridor. Wavetec was brought in to support the Government of Pakistan with digital transformation services, including queuing and self-service solutions as part of a broader transport upgrade.

Wavetec implemented security and surveillance, an operations control center with LED video walls, communications and network infrastructure, energy management, signal priority, and real-time passenger information displays. The result was a safer, more efficient, and more connected BRT experience with 900+ cameras, 60 km of fiber deployment, 60,000 meters of CAT6 cabling, 110 WiFi access points, and improved high-speed transit data flow and contactless passenger journeys.
