Cordoba Stadium (now Mario Alberto Kempes Stadium) faced mounting fan complaints about poor sightlines and needed to meet FIFA’s modern stadium recommendations ahead of the 2011 Copa America. The remodel required two large outdoor LED screens with high brightness, reliability and weather protection to eliminate visibility issues, so Cordoba engaged Wavetec to supply an LED display solution (two 50 square meter full‑color LED displays).
Wavetec’s consultants specified and installed the two 50 square meter LED screens in optimal positions, built to IP65 protection and with the brightness and pitch to meet broadcast and spectator requirements. The Wavetec solution eliminated the visibility problems, helped Cordoba meet FIFA standards, enabled the stadium to host Copa America 2011 matches, and materially improved the match‑day experience and the venue’s reputation.
