A Wavetec Case Study
Zain Telecom Iraq, aiming to differentiate its retail and customer-care flagships and better manage high customer volumes, needed a partner to deliver both a striking in-store experience and efficient queuing. Wavetec was engaged to provide queue management and information display solutions, including an Electronic Queue Management System (EQMS), interactive touch kiosks and a full content management suite.
Wavetec deployed a multi-component solution—EQMS with thin‑client TSUs and multilingual touch-screen ticket dispensers (60+ service categories, redundant printers), centralized eQwave reporting, and an array of indoor/outdoor LED walls, tickers, interactive LCD video walls and kiosks all managed via Wavetec’s CMS and scheduler. Rolled out across Zain Telecom Iraq’s flagship centers (three launched, five more planned), the system enabled real-time nationwide monitoring, tailored bilingual communications (custom chime, automated Azaan), and scalable operations, delivering a marked improvement in customer experience and a clear competitive advantage for Zain.
