Kcell Kazakhstan goes Digital with Azimut’s SIM Dispensing Solution

Kcell Kazakhstan needed a fast, safe and contactless way for customers to buy, replace and register SIMs during the COVID-19 pandemic while improving self-service and cutting operational costs. To meet that challenge Kcell piloted self-service SIM dispensing kiosks and selected Wavetec’s SIMVEND & ViaOS solution to power automated, 24/7 SIM issuance, replacement, top-ups and eSIM delivery.

Wavetec implemented modular SIMVEND kiosks managed by the ViaOS platform, combining instant SIM dispensing, real‑time KYC (ID scan, facial recognition and liveness checks), eSIM QR provisioning, POS payments and multilingual screens. The kiosks enable activation in minutes, remove the need for a customer‑service representative, improve safety during lockdowns, and deliver measurable benefits for Kcell in the form of round‑the‑clock service, expected operational cost reductions and higher customer convenience and satisfaction.
