A Wavetec Case Study
Chapidze Heart Center in Tbilisi, a specialist cardiology hospital, was facing heavy patient volumes, long queues at reception and wayfinding problems that created delays and poor patient experience. To eliminate standing queues and streamline arrivals the hospital engaged Wavetec (in collaboration with Innotec) to deploy a Patient Flow Management System.
Wavetec’s solution combined touch-screen ticket kiosks, virtual queuing, LED displays, ceiling speakers, a 60-inch LCD and eight room-level LCDs integrated with Wavetec’s EQMS to route patients to the correct doctor or room. The system reduced wait and service times, allowed staff to optimize processes and raised daily patient throughput from about 70 to over 200 patients.
