Bank Alfalah, one of the largest private banks in Pakistan Deploys Wavetec’s Self Service Solutions to Improve Operational Efficiency

Bank Alfalah, one of Pakistan’s largest private banks with 700+ branches, faced high cash-in-circulation, limited banking hours and growing teller workload, along with the typical customer acceptance challenges for new channels. To tackle these issues, Bank Alfalah partnered with Wavetec to deploy self‑service solutions, primarily the CQuick Cash Deposit Machines and the ViaOS platform.

Wavetec rolled out CQuick kiosks and ViaOS—offering bulk cash deposits (up to 500 notes per transaction, 10,000-note escrow), multimodal biometrics, QR pre‑staging, remote video assistance and real‑time analytics—scaling from 40 to 200+ machines across 190+ locations. The Wavetec deployment enabled 24/7 contactless banking, a substantial month‑over‑month increase in self‑service transactions, minutes saved per teller and per customer, a 25% rise in women using the service, and expanded service coverage nationwide.
