Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) Dubai needed a more reliable way to handle payments at government service centres, since manual cash-counter processing was causing human errors, money mismanagement, and inconvenience for citizens. To address this, PCFC partnered with Wavetec and used its Self-Service Payment Kiosks to modernize payments for services such as marine agency fees, visa renewals, and immigration exits.
Wavetec deployed self-service kiosks at UAE Marfa and UAE Hamriya, enabling customers to pay by cash or card through a simple, automated journey. The result was faster transactions completed in minutes, reduced human error, improved accessibility beyond counter hours, and a more secure, citizen-friendly payment experience that supported PCFC’s digital transformation goals.
