Medallia, a technology company with about 2,000 employees, wanted to build a sustainability program from scratch as customer, investor, and regulatory pressure increased. With no in-house sustainability expertise or emissions tracking system, the company needed a way to measure, track, and report on its environmental impact. Medallia chose Watershed and its sustainability platform to create a scalable foundation for its program.

With Watershed’s platform, Medallia established baseline emissions, completed its first inventory, built audit-ready reporting for disclosures like EcoVadis and CDP, and set a 2040 Net Zero commitment. The program also helped Medallia improve operational decisions around travel, suppliers, and renewable energy, while supporting over 40 customer deals worth more than $30M in annual contract value. Watershed also helped Medallia earn its first EcoVadis Committed Badge and streamline reporting, saving significant time for the team.
