DinnerTime is a mobile-friendly web app that helps families plan, shop for, and cook healthier, budget‑friendly meals using a powerful personalization engine that blends AI, nutrition and behavioral science. Although the service offers more than 10 million meal combinations and coordinates weekly sales at over 7,500 grocery stores, new users often became confused during onboarding and didn’t discover or personalize the app’s full feature set, leading to incomplete and unsatisfying experiences.

To fix this, DinnerTime implemented WalkMe’s context‑sensitive guidance—including Walk‑Thrus, Shout‑Outs, Auto‑Play tours and a mobile app—to streamline onboarding without custom coding. The change raised successful new‑user meal‑plan completion from 76% to 92% (a 16% lift), drove large increases in user satisfaction and long‑term engagement (top‑range NPS), and made it easy to train users on new features as the product evolves.
