How TELUS Spark eliminates lineups with WaitWell

TELUS Spark, a science center in Calgary, faced a challenge with long lineups for its popular Minecraft exhibition. With guests, especially families, having limited time to spend at the facility, waiting in a physical queue deterred them from experiencing this and other exhibits. They partnered with WaitWell to implement its virtual queue system to improve the guest experience.

The WaitWell solution allowed guests to join a virtual line via their mobile devices and explore the science center freely until they received a text notification for their turn. This innovation not only enhanced the customer experience by eliminating the need to stand in line but also improved staff efficiency. Employees were freed from managing queues and could instead focus on engaging with and assisting guests. WaitWell provided a smooth transition for all and is now planned for use in future exhibitions.
