Yuppiechef, a leading South African online store for premium kitchen tools, wanted to increase Wedding Registry signups from its Wedding Registry landing page. They used VWO’s A/B testing to evaluate whether removing the site’s global navigation menu would reduce distractions and improve conversions.
VWO ran a test comparing the original page (with navigation) to a variation without the navigation bar; the variation doubled conversions, raising the conversion rate from 3% to 6% (a 100% uplift in signups). Yuppiechef found the test quick to implement and the VWO reporting clear enough to declare the change an unequivocal success.
