World Israel News (WIN) is an online news outlet reporting Israeli events to a global audience that wanted to ensure easy, timely access to breaking stories. After signing up for VWO’s push-notification product VWO Engage, WIN struggled to understand the tool’s capabilities and the optimal notification frequency — they were sending two updates daily and losing roughly 170 subscribers per day.
VWO’s Notification Consultant worked with World Israel News to run a trial that reduced the send frequency to six notifications per week; as a result unsubscribes dropped, WIN began adding about 90 new subscribers daily, now enjoys a 15% average click-through rate, and has a notification subscriber base of over 37,000.
