Who Accepts Amex, a UK affiliate website that lists merchants accepting American Express cards, needed to increase external clicks to drive more commission revenue. To improve conversions they engaged Lone Goat, a web analytics and CRO agency that used the VWO A/B testing platform to find which page elements would boost click-throughs.
Using VWO, Lone Goat ran A/B tests first on link styling and then on font size (control 14px vs variations 12–18px) over 28 days with nearly 3,100 visitors; the 18px variation won, delivering a 32.68% lift in external clicks (all but one variation beat the control, while 17px performed 16.14% worse). VWO’s A/B testing produced a clear, measurable increase in click-throughs and revenue opportunity for Who Accepts Amex.
