Viadeo (formerly Soocial) is an online address book service that syncs and backs up contacts across devices and webmail. Facing a low click-through rate from their homepage to the sign-up form, Viadeo engaged VWO to A/B test homepage call-to-action variations to see if adding the word “free” would boost clicks.
Using VWO’s A/B testing, Viadeo tested multiple button texts, colors, and adjacent copy; the winning variation simply added “It’s free” next to the Sign up button. That change lifted the click-through rate from 14.5% to 18.6% — a 28% increase and a statistically significant improvement — demonstrating VWO’s ability to deliver fast, measurable optimization.
