TheHOTH Tests A Sign-Up Form Using VWO To Increase Sign-ups

TheHOTH, a white-label SEO service company, needed more account sign-ups from its homepage after small headline and layout tweaks failed to improve conversions. They partnered with VWO and used VWO’s Split URL Testing to run a focused optimization on their home page.

Using VWO’s Split URL Testing, TheHOTH tested a minimalist variation that removed everything but the sign-up form and ran the experiment for 30 days with ~3,000 visitors; sign-ups jumped from 1.39% to 13.13% (about a 10x increase). VWO’s test identified attention-stealing elements (video, competing CTAs, low-contrast form) and delivered a clear, measurable uplift, while the case noted trade-offs in lead quality and additional sales follow-up.
