Nemzeti Sport Online, the 24/7 sports news site run by Mediaworks in Hungary that publishes about 130 pieces of content daily, needed a reliable channel to increase pageviews by bringing users back to the site every day. Product manager Béla evaluated web push providers and selected VWO’s push solution, VWO Engage, to meet that goal.

Using VWO Engage to send one curated daily browser notification, Nemzeti Sport Online achieved an average click-through rate of 24.12% with a peak of 29%, and reports that pageviews from push notifications are on average double those from social media referrals. VWO’s solution and support helped the team drive consistent return visits and the publisher plans to expand VWO Engage to support native advertising and other channels.
