Makelaarsland, a Netherlands-based real estate brokerage, wanted to increase sign-ups for home listings on its website. Working with VWO (and VWO-certified partner Traffic Builders), the company used VWO’s A/B Testing capability to optimize its lead-generation page and address low response/trust that was hurting conversions.
Traffic Builders created a variation that replaced a staff photo with an image of a man putting a “SOLD” sticker on a “FOR SALE” sign to leverage the persuasion principle of response efficacy, then ran a 20-day A/B test via VWO at 95% confidence. The VWO-powered test produced an 89% increase in sign-ups, which Makelaarsland implemented across the site.
