How Huntr Increased Sign-Ups Through Strategic Homepage Experimentation with VWO

Huntr, a fast-growing Seattle-based startup building AI-powered job search tools, wanted to improve conversions on its homepage as part of a rebrand and launch of its new resume builder. The team believed two competing CTAs (“Sign up” and “Watch the demo”) were creating confusion, while the demo video itself was too hidden for visitors who needed more context before signing up. Using VWO Testing, they set out to streamline the user journey and increase sign-ups.

VWO helped Huntr run an A/B test that replaced the dual-CTA layout with a single primary sign-up button and a more prominent demo video placement. The variation delivered a clearer path for users and improved decision-making, resulting in an 8.72% increase in sign-ups. Based on these results, Huntr is continuing to explore more interactive landing page experiences with VWO.
