Hotel Institute Montreux, a Switzerland-based hospitality and hotel management school, wanted to increase brochure requests from its "Receive your free brochure" lead generation page. The institute worked with digital agency The Reference and used VWO (Split URL Testing) to address low conversions on the form-driven landing page.
Using the VWO platform the team ran a split test that added an existing testimonial block directly above the lead form to provide social proof at the decision moment. The VWO test variant produced a 50% jump in form submissions and a 54% reduction in Google AdWords cost per lead, demonstrating the impact of testimonial placement on conversion rates.
