Garanti BBVA, a leading bank in Turkey offering Bonus Card credit cards, faced high abandonment rates on its online Bonus Card application due to a lengthy, complex form. The bank engaged VWO Certified Partner Hype and used VWO’s A/B testing capabilities to optimize conversions and simplify the application flow.
Using VWO, Hype tested three sticky-banner variations that let users apply directly from the landing page by entering just a citizenship ID and phone number; the experiment ran for 18 days with 119,000 visitors. The winning variation — highlighting “more than 300 offers every month” — lifted credit card applications by 24%, and Garanti BBVA rolled that banner live sitewide while continuing optimization with VWO.
