Empire Flippers, a Delaware-based marketplace founded by Justin Cooke and Joe Magnotti that helps entrepreneurs buy and sell established websites, sought to improve the click-through rate of a sidebar Call-to-Action used to collect leads. To address this, they engaged VWO and its A/B testing capabilities (using VWO’s Advanced mode) to run targeted experiments on their site.
Using VWO, Empire Flippers tested different images and a revised CTA text—changing the button from “Join Us” to the clearer, benefit-focused “Make Money Flipping Websites”—across multiple pages. The winning variation delivered a 33.1% lift in click-throughs (3.84% vs. 2.88%) with 96% confidence, demonstrating that the clearer CTA implemented via VWO drove a measurable increase in conversions.
