Dr. Muscle, the personal training site founded by Carl Juneau, wanted to increase visitor engagement and sales after seeing a competitor boost results by using video marketing. To test whether video could improve performance, the team used VWO to run split URL experiments on their call-to-action and sales page.
Using VWO, Dr. Muscle tested different CTA messages and sales page formats, including a video-only version versus a long-form sales letter. The video-led variations performed best, increasing click-through to the next funnel step by 14.18% in one test and by 46.15% in another, while adding the long sales letter below the video reduced clicks by 35%. Overall, VWO helped Dr. Muscle achieve a 46.15% increase in click-through rate.
